By booking and participating in any dog training session with me, operating as Furry Friend (FurryFriend.co.in), you (“the Client”) confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.
I am a freelance dog trainer who uses only humane, force-free, and positive reinforcement methods in full compliance with the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, the Animal Birth Control Rules, 2023, and all other applicable Indian animal welfare laws. I will never use harmful, abusive, or unlawful training techniques. If you request such methods, I will immediately end our agreement without refund.
You are responsible for ensuring your dog is healthy, fully vaccinated, parasite-free, and safe to train. You must tell me before training if your dog has a history of aggression, biting, anxiety, phobias, medical conditions, or behavioural issues. While I will take all reasonable safety precautions, I reserve the right to refuse or stop training if your dog displays uncontrolled aggression, poses a danger, or requires methods/equipment that violate animal welfare guidelines. If the law requires it, your dog must be muzzled in public.
I am not liable for any injury, illness, escape, death, or property damage caused by your dog, whether during or after training, especially if due to pre-existing conditions, negligence, or third-party actions. You remain fully responsible for your dog’s behaviour at all times, including damage or injury to other people, animals, or property. Training results cannot be guaranteed, as they depend on your dog’s age, breed, health, temperament, and your commitment to follow the training plan. Failure to practice between sessions may result in slower or no progress.
If your dog has a pre-existing medical or behavioural condition, you accept that training may cause changes in behaviour or symptoms, and I am not responsible for any deterioration. Only I or you may handle your dog during training, unless we agree otherwise. You must provide an emergency contact number in case urgent decisions are needed while you are unavailable.
Sessions are for the specific dog(s) named in our agreement and are non-transferable. Packages must be completed within the agreed timeframe. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session are non-refundable. All fees must be paid in advance unless agreed otherwise in writing. Late payments may incur additional charges, and I reserve the right to pause or stop services until payments are cleared.
Training may take place at your home, in public spaces, or at another agreed location. I am not liable for accidents caused by environmental hazards such as loose dogs, sharp objects, poor lighting, or unsafe flooring. If extreme weather, unsafe conditions, illness, or events beyond my control (force majeure) prevent training, I may reschedule without penalty.
You must comply with all relevant pet ownership laws, including leash rules, licensing, and vaccinations. If you fail to meet legal requirements, I may end our agreement immediately without refund. I make no guarantees for results with aggressive, fearful, or recently rescued dogs, as progress can vary greatly.
Any training materials, notes, or techniques I share remain my intellectual property and may not be copied, sold, or used commercially without my written consent. Sessions may be photographed or recorded for educational, progress tracking, or promotional purposes, unless you notify me in writing that you object. Even with consent, you may later request in writing to withdraw permission for public use.
If your dog becomes ill or injured during training, I am authorised to seek immediate veterinary care at the nearest facility, and all costs are your responsibility. I may use session recordings as evidence in case of disputes or safety concerns.
You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any claims, costs, or damages arising from your dog’s behaviour or your breach of these terms. Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved through discussion or mediation. If that fails, they will be handled under the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, in accordance with the laws of India.
By proceeding with my services, you accept these Terms and Conditions in full and understand they are designed to protect the safety, welfare, and rights of both humans and animals.
